The total area of ​​Chery Jaguar Land Rover Changshu Factory is approximately 810,000 square meters. The content of this factory expansion includes the transformation of some existing production lines, factory buildings, and public works, the construction of a new assembly workshop (approximately 50,000 square meters), the expansion of the welding workshop (approximately 32,000 square meters), and related supporting facilities. After the completion of the factory expansion in the future, the total construction area will increase by 90,000 square meters, and the production capacity will increase by 70,000 vehicles, an increase of nearly 50%.
The first model of Chery Jaguar Land Rover Changshu Factory – the domestically produced Chery Jaguar Land Rover Range Rover Evoque was launched on February 1, 2015. The second model is the Discovery Sport, which will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
