The Qingdian to Henan project starts from the Hainan converter station in Qinghai Province and ends at the Zhumadian converter station in Henan Province. It passes through four provinces: Qinghai, Gansu, Shaanxi, and Henan, with a total length of 1563 kilometers and a dynamic investment of about 23.1 billion yuan. It is the first ultra-high voltage channel specifically constructed for the transmission of clean energy in China and also the world’s first ultra-high voltage transmission line project that crosses high-altitude areas.

The Qinghai Electric Power to Henan Project will build a highway to transmit electricity from the west to the east, delivering 40 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity to Henan every year, reducing coal consumption by 18 million tons, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 29.6 million tons, and effectively ensuring the safe supply of electricity in central China.
